Beach Day

All eighth graders at the end of the year, as part of our last week of school, went to the beach for Beach Day. We left at eight and got back to school at around 2:30. My fiends and I had loads of fun!

   ***Just a side note, everyone, but me, from our school got sunburned!!! I DIDN'T GET A SUNBURN!!!!!!!!!!

Magic Mountain

     Because I had such good grades all year, I was allowed to go to Magic Mountain with all the other smart people in our school. I went to on all the scary roller coasters that I could get on. I even waited in line for one hour!!!
     *I am not totally strange for trying to feel queasy while riding roller coasters. I have never, and most likely will never, felt sick on any type of ride...

Memorial Day!!!

     Happy Memorial Day!!! To celebrate Memorial Day this year, the Goodwin Gang washed both of our cars and went swimming at a friends house. We swam, ate, swam some more, and ate some more. When we got home I painted an awesome Daffy Duck(see below) and noticed that I had a huge sunburn:(( I learned my lesson, after a week and a half of pain.

My Tea Party

       Over Spring Break I had an awesome idea, I was going to through a tea party!!! I love watching movies and seeing little girls serving tea to little stuffed animals. So I picked the people I was going to invite, emailed them the info,and planned a menu. Taya and I got everything ready. (preparations started almost one week before!) The party was awesome and was definitely worth all the work put into it.

Discovery Day!!!

     For my last science project at Jonata Middle school, the eighth grade has an option of 4 different projects.

1. a maze that a marble can go through very slowly, but not stop until the end
2. a Indy car that drives on it's own
3. a catapult
4. or a balloon hat

     I chose to build a catapult. After building, tearing apart, building, and perfecting, my catapult launches 9 1/2 meters(35 ft!!!)

    I beat everyone in my class and I was able to compete against the other winners in my school. I got last place out of the five people:(
